Pittsburgh Police Bureau Welcomes Zane, Their First-Ever Comfort Puppy In Training
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police have an adorable new recruit.
They have gotten their first-ever Comfort Dog, the bureau announced Thursday morning on social media.
The puppy, named Zane, is a Golden Retriever.
His name is Hebrew and means "gift and prayed for."
According to the bureau, Zane will be trained to give peer support, respond to critical incidents and involved in community outreach.
Little Zane even has his own police vest, which reads "In Training."
