Pirates Sign Free Agent OF Lonnie Chisenhall

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed free agent outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall.
The team made it official Tuesday morning after reports broke the night before.

MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal said the team signed Chisenhall to a one-year, $2.75 million contract with a series of performance bonuses worth up to $3 million.

Chisenhall, 30, played for the Cleveland Indians from 2011 to 2018.
In a press release, General Manager Neal Huntington says that Chisenhall is an immediate option in right field while Gregory Polanco recovers from injury, also Chisenhall's abilities and versatility will make the team better once Polanco returns.
