Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Allegheny, Surrounding Counties
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A winter storm is expected to hit parts of Pennsylvania early this week, and Pittsburgh and the surrounding area could see some snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties. The advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. Monday to 11 p.m. Tuesday. The NWS estimates 4 to 6 inches of snow from Monday evening through early Tuesday night.

A winter storm warning has been issued for Indiana County. The Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges are also under the winter storm warning. That warning is in effect from 8 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Wednesday. There is a potential for 8 to 12 inches of snow, starting Monday night and persisting through Tuesday.
