Pittsburgh Launches Website To Show Residents, Businesses If They're Owed Money
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- Pittsburgh is holding $90,000, and City Controller Michael Lamb says that money belongs to the taxpayers.
"For the most part, [the money is] tax refunds," Mr. Lamb tells KDKA Radio, adding that vendor payments are also in the mix.
The $90,000 is owed to about 1,200 individual people and business.
"We've created this website to allow people to go on and search their names to see if there's money due to them," Mr. Lamb said.

The money the city is trying to distribute only accounts for funds from 2015. Requests for the funds can be made by mid-February before the money goes to the State Treasurer, who keeps a statewide database.
"If we can get that money out to people before that, that would be great," Mr. Lamb adds.
