7 people displaced as firefighters battle four-alarm fire in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood

Firefighters were called to battle a four-alarm fire in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

The blaze was reported along the 4000 block of Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh Public Safety said via social media

One side of the building was a short-term rental property. It was being rented at the time, but all of the guests were out of the house when firefighters arrived, fire officials said.

On the other side was another residential property home to five adults and two children. Those residents have been displaced due to the fire and the Red Cross has been notified to assist those affected.

No firefighters were injured and no one was transported to the hospital. Detectives will continue to determine the exact cause of the fire.
