School closings and delays have been reported for numerous districts across the Pittsburgh area after severe storms moved through the region on Tuesday evening.

Severe storms rocked the area on Tuesday evening, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands of homes as wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour brought down trees and prompted tornado warnings.
