Pitt's Tyler Boyd On Biletnikoff Award Watch List

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Looking to followup on a spectacular freshman season, Pitt wide receiver Tyler Boyd, the nation's most productive freshman receiver last year, has been named to the 2014 Biletnikoff Award watch list.

The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to "the outstanding receiver in college football."

Boyd is one of only five sophomores listed on the 55-player watch list and adds this accolade to the two other watch lists he was named to.  Boyd is also on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award, given to college football's player of the year and the Paul Hornung Award, given to the country's most versatile player.

Winning the Biletnikoff Award would put Boyd in some elite Pitt company as two other past receivers have won the award, Larry Fitzgerald (2003) and Antonio Bryant (2000).

You can see Boyd's 2013 season highlight tape here.
