Pitt's Lamar Patterson Named To Naismith Trophy Midseason Watch List

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt senior Lamar Patterson has been named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Watch List, which is presented annually to college basketball's national player of the year.

Patterson leads the Panthers in both scoring and assists this year while shooting 46.2 percent for the floor.

This is just a long line of accolades for Patterson who has been the ACC Player of the Week multiple times this year and is also a candidate for the USBWA's Oscar Robertson Trophy.

Patterson is one of four ACC players on the Naismith Watch List including Syracuse's Tyler Ennis and CJ Fair and Duke's Jabari Parker.

On top of the personal accolades, Patterson and the Panthers are also a team that CBS Sports's Gary Parrish could see going a long way in the tournament this year as he told The FAN Morning Show.

Stay tuned to 93-7 The FAN for all the latest Panthers hoops news.
