Pitt's James Robinson Named A Finalist For Bob Cousy Award

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt's James Robinson has been named a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which is presented annually to college basketball's top point guard.

Robinson is one of 23 players to be named a finalist after the list was pared down from it's original 80 candidates.

Robinson's assist to turnover ratio of 3.78 this year leads the Atlantic Coast Conference and ranks second nationally.  Robinson is averaging 8.3 points, 3.9 assists and 1 steal per game this year.

Since the Bob Cousy Award was created in the 2003-04 season, Pitt has had Carl Krauser (2003-04, 2005-06) Levance Fields (2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09), Bran Wanamaker (2010-11), Ashton Gibbs (2011-12) and Tray Woodall (2012-13) named to the watch list.
