Pitt's James Conner, TJ Clemmings Earn ACC Weekly Awards

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Panthers may have to the Duke Blue Devils in double overtime by a score of 51-48, but their offensive outburst earned ACC weekly honors for running back James Conner and right tackle TJ Clemmings.

After rushing for a career-high 263 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries, Conner was named the ACC's Co-Offensive Back of the week, sharing the honor with Florida State's Jameis Winston.

For his effort in paving the way for Conner, Clemming was named the Co-Offensive Lineman of the week, sharing the award with Florida State tackle Cameron Erving.

Conner and Clemmings are no strangers to the ACC weekly honors as this is the third time Conner has received the weekly offensive back honor and the third time for Clemmings being named the offensive lineman of the week.

James Conner was also named a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award this year and you can read more about that here.
