Pirates To Switch Soft Drinks In 2014

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - You'll soon have a new choice of soft drink when heading to PNC Park this season.

According to Michael Sanserino of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Pirates will begins selling Coca-Cola products at concession stands this season. Coke products have been vacant from Pittsburgh Sports venues since 2012 when the Steelers switched from Coke to Pepsi. The Penguins currently have a deal with RC Cola at the Consol Energy Center.

Pepsi has been a mainstay at PNC Park since it was christened back in 2001, including a large bottle above the Right field seats that light's up after home runs are hit. A club source tells Sanserino that the signage will be taken down, and not replaced.

The Pespi-Coke flip only effects fans, the players will continue to drink Pepsi-owned Gatorade products in both the Clubhouse and bullpen.
