Pirates Sign David Freese To Contract Extension
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - He wasn't even on the roster at the beginning of spring training, but David Freese has now found himself a home for the next few years.
The Pirates have announced a 2-year extension with the first and third baseman.

Splitting time between first and third base, Freese has hit .276 with 12 home runs and 49 RBI's while helping stabilize both positions throughout the season.
