Pirates Receive PTBNL From Orioles To Complete Travis Snider Trade

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - When the Pirates traded outfielder Travis Snider to the Baltimore Orioles, they received 21-year-old pitcher Stephen Tarpley and a player to be named later.

Today, the player to be named later was announced as the Pirates received left-handed pitcher Steven Brault to complete the Snider deal.

The 22-year-old Brault spent the 2014 season between low-A and high-A minor league ball in 2014 where he put up a combined ERA of 2.77 in 146.1 innings pitched striking out 124 batters while walking only 30.

Baseball America ranked Brault the Orioles 18th best prospect.

Brault was an 11th-round pick of the Orioles in 2013 out of Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
