Pirates Place Corey Hart On DL
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pirates have placed utilityman Corey Hart on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder impingement retro to June 22nd.
To take his place on the roster, the Pirates called up 28-year-old AAA Pitcher Chris Volstad.
Volstad was 5-2 with a 3.43 ERA in 76 innings pitched for the Indianapolis Indians in 14 appearances (12 starts).
The Pirates signed Volstad this off-season as a minor league free agent after last playing for the Colorado Rockies back in 2013.
On the year, Hart was hitting .222 with two home runs and 9 RBI in 54 at-bats.
