Pirates' Minor Leaguer Suspended For Failed Drug Test

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pirates minor league first baseman Kevin Ross has been suspended 50 games after a second failed drug test.

The 21-year-old right-handed hitting first baseman spent the 2014 season with short-season Single-A Jamestown where he hit .265 with one home run and 24 RBI in 44 games.

Ross was drafted in the 8th round of the 2010 Amateur Draft out of Niles West High School in Skokie, Illinois.
