Pirates' McCutchen And Cervelli Leave Game With Injuries

MIAMI (AP) - Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen and catcher Francisco Cervelli both left Thursday night's game against the Miami Marlins due to injuries.

McCutchen left in the sixth inning with right thumb discomfort and was being evaluated by the medical staff.

He lined out in the top of the sixth and was replaced by Sean Rodriguez for the bottom of the inning.

Cervelli was hit in the foot by a pitch in the top of the second inning. He stayed in the game before eventually exiting in the bottom of the third.

Cervelli entered the game with a .256 average and 21 RBIs. He was replaced by Chris Stewart.
