Pirates Activate Gerrit Cole From DL, Option Brent Morel To AAA Indianapolis

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled right-handed pitcher Gerrit Cole from his rehab assignment with AAA Indianapolis and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list.

In order to make room for Cole on the 25-man roster, the team has optioned infielder Brent Morel back to AAA.

Cole will start Wednesday night against the Atlanta Braves as the team looks to end their 7-game losing streak.
