PHOTOS: Leap Day Babies Dressed In Frog Outfits

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It's a happy Leap Day for some lucky Pittsburgh parents!

Feb. 29 only comes around once every few years, so babies born Monday may face difficulty celebrating their birthdays in the future.

One thing is for sure, the first birthday bash will be one to remember.

St. Clair Hospital's Family Birth Center is dressing all infants born on Leap Day in adorable green frog outfits.

At Magee's Women's Hospital, Dr. Carey Andrew-Jaja lead nurses and staff in a Leap Day version of Happy Birthday.

He sings the more familiar version every time he delivers a baby.

"I have met mom upon mom who tell me that because of the singing that I did for them when they were born, the kids are now at Julliard or someplace like that," he laughs.

A pair of parents say they have not decided when the baby's birthday will be.

"Because it was born in February we should celebrate February. But maybe it should be March first. It's a tough call," Dotty Lauth said.
