Photo: Man Finds Spider Baked Inside Vanilla Cookie
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- For cookie lovers, there isn't much that will keep them away. But -- a spider baked right into the treat might be just the ticket.
According to Yahoo News, a New York man was unpleasantly surprised when he discovered a spider has been cooked along with his Aldi brand vanilla wafer.

Just as he and his 9-year-old daughter were about to chow down, Eric Sowa noticed the crawling creature had apparently been stuck into the dough.

His wife complained to Aldi but he has dismissed their $5 offer of compensation as "laughable".
Aldi has described the unfortunate situation as an "isolated incident" and are now investigating the matter.
