Phone Threat Prompts Hospital Lockdown

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A threatening phone call prompted a lockdown at a local hospital.

Jefferson Regional Hospital said a man – reportedly from West Mifflin – called Monday night threatening to kill his wife and then come to the hospital to turn himself in.

The hospital alerted police, then reinforced security at its emergency room entrance.

The hospital was put on lockdown briefly and is now back to normal.
