Pennsylvania Officials Discuss Cashless Tolling
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania Turnpike officials are holding an online meeting to discuss the upcoming cashless tolling system.
Tolls will be collected automatically at the Turnpike Bridge along the Delaware River in Bucks County starting Jan. 3. Only westbound motorists entering Pennsylvania will pay the new toll. Those driving into New Jersey will not pay.
Drivers not enrolled in E-ZPass will pay by a new system that will photograph license plates and mail the toll bill to vehicle owners.
Passenger vehicles with E-ZPass will be charged a flat toll of $5. Those who don't have n-E-ZPass will be charged $6.75.
