PennDOT Set To Reopen Liberty Bridge Ramp To Blvd. Of The Allies

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There is some good news for the thousands of drivers who use the Liberty Bridge during their commute.

According to PennDOT, construction crews will soon be reopening the bridge's ramp to the Boulevard of the Allies.

PennDOT officials say the inbound Liberty Bridge ramp will reopen Friday at 5 a.m.

According to PennDOT, drivers who want to use the ramp "weekdays from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. must be in the right hand lane on the bridge," that's because the work zone that's in place splits the inbound lanes.

To make it just a bit more complicated, after 2 p.m. each day when the bridge goes to two lanes outbound, you'll need to be in the left lane to use the Boulevard of the Allies ramp.
