PennDOT Repairs Tie Up Traffic On Parkway East

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It was was the Noon Parkway East Blues -- traffic backed up, detoured and delayed. The Squirrel Hill Tunnel was shut down.

PennDOT said they had to close the tunnel to make emergency repairs. They noticed some loose brackets that were holding up pipes, and they didn't want pipe crashing down on cars.

You can only imagine the reaction on a hot summer day.
