PennDOT Announces 2014 Allegheny County Projects

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - PennDOT announced the 2014 Allegheny County transportation improvement project list including $81.2 million in Act 89 funding for state-owned roads and bridges.

District 11 will invest an estimated $238 million on 86 projects to improve, preserve or rehabilitate transportation infrastructure including 44 bridges (14 structurally deficient) in Allegheny County in 2014.

In addition, 138 miles of roadway will be paved or resurfaced and more than $21.2 million will be invested in tunnel maintenance and improvements.
