Penguins Sign Top 2015 Draft Pick To 3-Year Deal

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the signing of second-round draft pick Daniel Sprong.

According to the team, the 18-year-old right winger signed a three-year deal Friday. The Penguins selected Sprong with the 46th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2014, Sprong played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Charlottetown Islanders, where he appeared in 68 games, scoring 39 goals and tallying 49 assists.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Sprong will take part in the Penguins rookie tournament in September.
