Penguins Recall Defenseman Derrick Pouliot

PITTSBURGH (937 The FAN) - The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the recalling of defenseman Derrick Pouliot from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins.

Pouliot has appeared in 26 games for the Penguins this year and has scored two goals to go along with three assists.

During his time with the Pens, Pouliot's role has shifted from time to time but has seen him getting work on the power play units.

In order to create room on the roster for Pouliot, the Pens sent down forward Andrew Ebbett who was recalled following the injury to Evgeni Malkin.

Pouliot will be on the ice for the Pens on Tuesday night when they take on the visiting St. Louis Blues.
