Penguins Open Eastern Conference Finals Friday In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins will host the Tampa Bay Lightning Friday at the CONSOL Energy Center for the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The National Hockey League has announced that Game 1 has been scheduled for Friday, May 13, at 8 p.m. ET in Pittsburgh.

The rest of the schedule was released later on Wednesday night after the conclusion of Game 7 of the Second Round series between the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues.

Game 2, also at home, will be played Monday, May 16. Then, Games 3 and 4 will be played Wednesday, May 18, and Friday, May 20, at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay. If necessary, Game 5 is set for Sunday, May 22, Game 6 for Tuesday, May 24, and Game 7 for Thursday, May 26.

All games have an 8 p.m. start time.

Tampa Bay advanced with a five-game series win over the Islanders.
