Penguins GM Plans To Keep Fleury, Not Trading Malkin
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford put rumors to rest this weekend.
Rutherford reportedly said he had no intention of trading Evgeni Malkin, and that he wished to open the 2016-17 with both goalies Matt Murray and Marc-Andre Fleury on the roster "and see where it goes."
He reaffirmed this sentiment on Saturday to Sportsnet's John Shannon.

After Murray helped lead the Penguins to a Stanley Cup Championship, speculation began to build that Fleury could be moved.

Flames General Manager Brad Treliving reportedly contacted the Penguins about Marc-Andre Fleury about a week ago.
