Penguins: Crosby To Miss 2 Games As Precaution

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Sidney Crosby will miss the next two games as a precaution for the Mumps.

The team says Crosby hasn't been feeling well, but has not tested positive for the Mumps.

Pictures were showing up on social media of Crosby with a noticeably swollen face.

"There is no indication at this time that this is the mumps, but we are going to hold him out as a precaution," said General Manager Jim Rutherford in a statement. "We'll have additional test results in a few days."

The virus has been affecting several NHL players in the past few weeks.
