Penguins' 2015-16 Regular Season Schedule Released

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins' schedule for the 2015-16 season was released Thursday morning.

The Penguins will open up on the road against the Dallas Stars on Oct. 8, and the Arizona Coyotes on Oct. 10.

They will return to Pittsburgh for their first home game on Oct. 13, when the Montreal Canadiens come to town. That game will be the first of a five-game homestand, where the Penguins will also take on Ottawa, Toronto, Florida and Dallas.

That will be the longest homestand of the season.

Dan Bylsma will return to Pittsburgh for the first time as the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 29.

As for some rivalry matchups, the Penguins won't see the Philadelphia Flyers until Jan. 21. Also, the Penguins won't play the New York Rangers until Feb. 10.

Additionally, their first road game against the Islanders isn't until March 8.

The Penguins' final home game of the year will be against the Flyers on April 3. Pittsburgh will also face the Flyers in the final game of the regular season on April 9.

Of the five games in April, the Penguins will see four division foes (at NYI, PHI, at OTT, at WAS, at PHI).
