Pedestrian Killed In Parkway East Crash Identified

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man struck and killed by a car on the Parkway East on Friday has been identified.

Officials say Parker Rhoades, a 21-year-old from Syracuse, New York, was trying to cross the highway around 1 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man was struck in the eastbound lanes and was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the vehicle involved did not stop, and the driver has not been found.

The cause of death was determined to be blunt impact injuries to head, torso and extremities.
