Cyclist Hit By Vehicle, Killed On Route 51

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- One person was killed in an accident Friday evening in Beaver County.

The accident happened just after 7 p.m. on Route 51 near the West Aliquippa Bridge.

According to authorities, a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle.

There's no word yet on the victim's identity or what caused the crash.

The Beaver County Coroner has only said the victim is a white male who was riding a bike northbound between Logstown and Aliquippa.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
