State Police Investigating Child Hit By Car In East Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - State police are investigating a child hit by a car in the 500 block of Bessemer Avenue.

According to the police, they were called to the scene in East Pittsburgh just after 5:00 p.m.

The child was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

After being dispatched for the call of the child hit by a car, they were called to the same area for reports of shots fired.

After the crash, an altercation occurred and shots were fired into the vehicle that hit the child.

No injuries were sustained due to the shots fire.

A suspect as been taken into custody.
