Paul Chryst: Report On Russell Wilson Is Hard To Believe

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pitt football head coach and former Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst, joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Thursday for his regular weekly spot.

Chryst spoke about Mike Freeman's report that a rift has developed in the Seahawks' locker room because of his former quarterback at Wisconsin, Russell Wilson.

Freeman reports that some players think Wilson is too close to the front office in Seattle, and that he doesn't always take the blame with teammates after he makes a mistake.

"He was always really genuine," Chryst said. "I never saw that, and we had some adversity. We lost to Michigan State on a Hail Mary and then the next week, we lost in the last 40 seconds to Ohio State. So, we had those two games back-to-back, and there was adversity. I never saw that and was with him all the time, and knew where he was at, and so, certainly don't know what's going on out there, but that's hard for me to believe."

Chryst usually joins "The Fan Morning Show" Thursdays at 7:20 a.m.
