Police: Woman Pulls Knife On Man Trying To Break Up Fight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police arrested a man and a woman after an altercation on a bus lead to a stabbing.

According to police, they were assisting Port Authority Police after reports of an altercation on the bus near the intersection of South Braddock Avenue and Forbes Avenue shortly after 7:30 p.m.

The two did not know each other and the woman only received minor lacerations on her arm.

However, she did have a warrant out for her arrest and she was also taken into custody.

Later, police say that the male suspect denied any involvement.

Port Authority Police say they reviewed surveillance footage from the bus and determined that it was the woman who was involved in a physical altercation with another female.

Police say the man told them he was intervening when the female pulled a knife on him.

The woman who pulled the knife is charged with aggravated assault.

The man is not being charged.
