Pat Bostick Discusses Keys For Pitt's Offense Facing VT

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pitt football color analyst Pat Bostick joined "The Fan Morning Show" Thursday to preview Pitt's matchup with Virginia Tech.

Bostick talked about what Pitt's offense will have to do to turn things around against Virginia Tech's stout defense.

"The biggest thing probably would be to not get in your own way," Bostick said. "The past couple weeks, last week in particular, you had ten penalties, six pre-snap penalties. If you get behind the sticks with these guys, it's like blood in the water, and they'll just peel their ears back and come after you. So, it's going to be important on first and second down to have positive-yardage plays, get ahead of the sticks, keep yourself in third-and-manageable. They have to respect run and pass. It's going to be important to be efficient on first and second down. It's going to be important to be efficient by throwing and running the football."

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Field.
