Parolee Check Leads To Discovery Of Nearly 20 Bricks Of Heroin

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A check-in visit with a parolee in Homewood resulted in a major drug bust.

Parole officers called police to the home of 24-year-old Andrae Pride in the 7000 block of Mt. Vernon Street after they saw drugs.

During the search that followed, police found two military-style ballistic vests, a military-style gas mask, a plastic bag containing approximately 19 bricks of heroin (the equivalent of approximately 950 stamp bags), a large bag of white powder, a large quantity of cash, a .50 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber pistol, and a .40 caliber pistol with an extended clip.

Pride was arrested and is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, and persons not to possess firearms.

Sherell Clausell, 23, was also present in the home and was arrested. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, and carrying a firearm without a license.
