Painters Run Rd. Construction Project To Detour Drivers Through End Of Summer

UPPER ST. CLAIR (KDKA) -- A big road construction project will begin detouring some 19,000 drivers in the South Hills next week through the end of summer.

According to Allegheny County officials, Painters Run Road in Upper St. Clair will be closing on Monday morning for a stabilization project.

Officials say crews will be doing the $2.35 million project in two phases.

The first phase begins at 7 a.m. Monday and will close the area between McMillan and Robb Hollow Roads through the end of May.

The second phase will then begin, and will close Essen Hill to McMillian Roads.

Officials say they hope to have the work wrapped up and everything back open by the end of August.

Drivers will be detoured using Robb Hollow and Bower Hill Roads.
