Pa. Rep.'s Bill Would Allow "In God We Trust" In Public Schools

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Republican Pennsylvania State Rep. Rick Saccone is pushing a bill that entitles public schools to display the national motto "In God We Trust," as well as the Bill of Rights, in their buildings.

Rep. Saccone joined KDKA-AM host Mike Pintek on Monday to discuss the bill.

Rep. Saccone says he believes the country is in a "time of division," and wants people to unite over the anniversary of the national motto "In God We Trust."

He also says he wants students to be more thoroughly taught and tested on basic U.S. government and history.
