Pa. Man Convicted Of Sexually Abusing Dead Stepdaughter Is Sued

EASTON, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who was convicted of murdering his stepdaughter and then having sex with her corpse is being sued by the woman's family.

The husband of 33-year-old Jessica Padgett filed a wrongful death lawsuit that names Gregory Graf as the defendant on Thursday in Northampton County Court.

Graf, now 55, is serving a life sentence in Fayette County after he was found guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal November 2014 shooting of Padgett, his stepdaughter.

The jury needed just more than five minutes to convict Graf after they were shown videos that he recorded of himself sexually abusing the mother of three's corpse.

The lawsuit was filed in hopes of garnering Graf's assets to benefit Padgett's children. Graf's remaining wealth is unclear.
