Pa. Firefighter OK Despite Falling Through Floor Of Vacant Home

HANOVER, Pa. (AP) - A firefighter has escaped serious injury despite falling through the floor of a burning, vacant home in south-central Pennsylvania.

The name of the firefighter hasn't been released, but officials say the incident happened about 11 p.m. Saturday in Hanover. That's about 35 miles south of Harrisburg, not far from the Maryland border.

York County emergency dispatchers say crews at the scene issued a mayday after the floor collapsed, but the firefighter was rescued without injury.

It's not immediately clear what caused the fire.
