Former Pittsburgh Pirates Pitcher Octavio Dotel Linked To Drug Trafficking And Money Laundering Ring

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (KDKA) -- A former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher has been arrested in the Dominican Republic.

Authorities there said Octavio Dotel has links to a drug trafficking and money laundering ring.

Dotel pitched in the majors for 15 seasons and was the Pirates' closer in 2010.

He is one of 18 people implicated in the ring, along with former MLB player Luis Castillo.
