COVID-19 In Pennsylvania: State Crosses 1 Million Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

HARRISBURG (KDKA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting the Commonwealth has surpassed 1 million Coronavirus cases.

Pennsylvania reporting 3,623 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, pushing the statewide total to 1,000,240 cases since the pandemic began just over a year ago.

The state also reported 41 additional deaths, bringing the death toll to 24,917.

There are 1,652 people across the state in the hospital with COVID-19 and 351 patients are in the ICU.

The positivity rate for the week of March 12 through March 18 stood at 6.5%

So far, more than 4.6 million vaccine doses have been administered and over 1.6 million people are fully vaccinated.

Currently, all 67 counties are in the green phase of reopening. However, restrictions are in place for bars, restaurants and large gatherings.
