One killed, one injured in head-on crash in South Huntingdon Township

SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a head-on collision in Westmoreland County early on Sunday morning.

Just after 12 a.m., two cars collided on Interstate 70 in South Huntingdon Township after a car traveling west entered the eastbound lanes.

25-year-old David Ott was struck by the vehicle traveling west and suffered multiple blunt force injuries.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman involved in the crash in the other vehicle was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital and her condition is unknown at this time.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
