One Killed In Fatal Crash Along Route 66

WESTMORELAND COUNTY (KDKA) -- A man was killed when he crashed along Route 66 and was ejected from his car Friday afternoon.

The Westmoreland County coroner's office has identified the driver as 54-year-old Tracy S. Coleman of Sewickley Township.

Around 1:30 p.m., Coleman was driving along Route 66 when he swerved, struck an embankment and continued until he struck a bridge abutment and was ejected from his car. According to the coroner's office, Coleman was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.

He was transported to Excela Westmoreland Emergency Department, where he was pronounced dead.

Pennsylvania State Police investigated the crash.
