Police Searching For Suspect In Harrison Twp. Shooting

HARRISON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Allegheny Police investigators are looking for Omar Sandling, 44.

Investigators issued a warrant for him Friday. They believe he fired multiple shots overnight.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Friday near the Sheldon apartment complex on Park Avenue in Harrison Township. When police got to the scene, they found a 27-year-old man shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said Sandling was last seen driving a 2017 Red Mitsubishi Outlander with Pennsylvania Registration KGK-5993.

He is 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has facial hair with a bald head.

He has ties to the Garfield and Sheridan sections of the city as well as Harrison Township.

Sandling is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapons violations. If you have any information on this shooting, investigators urge you to call 911 immediately or the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-255-8477.
