Man's Body Found In Ohio River Identified As Missing Man

STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A body found in the Ohio River Monday morning has been identified as a man who went missing from Allegheny General Hospital last week.

According to police, barge workers found the body of a white man near the McKees Rocks Bridge around 10:30 a.m.

The body was recovered by Pittsburgh Police River Rescue.

The man has been identified as 71-year-old Raymond Devries, of Ingram. Devries was reported missing last week.

Devries had been sent to the Allegheny General Hospital on Thursday afternoon to be treated for possible stroke symptoms. He walked out of the hospital later that night and was not seen or heard from again.

Devries had a heart condition and did not have his medication with him when he left the hospital.

The cause of death has not yet been released.
