Officers Serving PFA Discover Butler Co. Marijuana Grow Operation

BUTLER (KDKA) – A Butler County man is facing drug charges after police found a marijuana growing operation in his home. However, officer initially responded to the house for an entirely different reason.

According to police, officers responded to a home in the 600-block of Center Avenue in Butler to serve a Protection From Abuse order.

While serving the PFA to Dennis Williams, officers became suspicious of a marijuana growing operation inside the home.

Williams was detained and a search warrant was issued. While searching the home, officers found 118 marijuana plants in the basement.

Officers also found drug paraphernalia including, dried marijuana, pots, soil, light timers, fans, etc.

Williams is now facing a list of charges including manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
