Materials Used To Make Meth Found In Carrick Home

CARRICK (KDKA)- Police are investigating after materials used in the making of methamphetamine were found in a Carrick home Wednesday evening.

Around 6:55 p.m., police were called to a home in the 2300-block of Almont Street.

When police arrived, they decided it was necessary to call in the Bureau of Emergency Services' Hazmat Team, fire crews and medics.

Several boxes and plastic bags were removed from the home and placed in the back of a police car.

The initial call came when people in the house were cleaning out a room and discovered materials that appeared to be used in the making of methamphetamine, along with instructions.

It's unclear who owns these materials.

No arrests were made at that time and no injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
