Obituary Says Steelers' Poor Play May Have Contributed To Fan's Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A family in Eastern Pennsylvania is suggesting the Pittsburgh Steelers may be at least partly to blame for their loved one's death.

Eleanor Gallagher passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the age of 81.

Her obituary was published today in a Wilkes-Barre newspaper.

It includes the following paragraph:

"Eleanor was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and the family firmly believes that the recent separation of Dick LeBeau and the Steelers' poor performance this season might have inadvertently contributed to her demise."

It should be pointed out that the Steelers did make the playoffs.

LeBeau stepped down as defensive coordinator last Saturday.

Here is Eleanor's full obituary.
